How Smile Magic Started
Our founder, Dr. Chad Evans, set out to create a dental office that felt fun, happy, and welcoming for the whole family. To help bring that vision to life, he partnered with Emmet Scott. Between their two families, Chad and Emmet have twelve children, so they knew first-hand how stressful a trip to the dentist could be for parents and kids alike.
They had both felt it: sitting in a stark waiting room, trying to keep restless kids calm, with nothing but a fish tank and a stack of old magazines. One day they asked a simple question. Why can't going to the dentist be a good experience? That question started everything rolling, and in 2010 they set out to build a completely different kind of dental practice.
What they created was an office built around real families: a bright, comfortable space where kids feel at ease instead of anxious, where the little details are handled with care, and where every member of the household, from a toddler's first checkup to an adult's crown or implant, can be seen under one roof. They keep creating that experience every day, in each and every Smile Magic office.
